Welcome to Open Enrollment 2026

Open Enrollment for your Medical Plan

Please Note: The enrollment process will be easier for you if you set an appointment with a Benefitbay counselor to allow them to help you navigate the enrollment process. You can do this once you log into the Benefitbay system.


Renewals: If you do not make any changes to your current ICHRA plan, the “renewal” plan option can be selected in Benefitbay. No action will be needed with the carrier, and the plan will be renewed.


If Making Wellmark Plan Changes: If you are making changes to your current ICHRA plan with Wellmark (including plan changes, dependent removal/additions and address changes), the Benefitbay team will complete a Wellmark Change Form for you. The form requires an ink “wet” signature and you must sign, date, scan and send the form back to Benefitbay.  You do NOT need to cancel your previous plan.


  • A Benefitbay enrollment team member will reach out to you directly via email to complete the wet signature requirement. Three attempts to contact you will be made. You must manage your emails at this time to ensure you complete your enrollment.
  • To account for administrative turnaround, the deadline to return signed change forms will be five (5) business days after the enrollment period ends. Any signatures received after the deadline are not guaranteed to have the effective dates requested.


If Changing to Another Insurance Carrier: You will need to enroll in your new plan and sign the enrollment form (if a signature is required by the new insurance carrier), scan and return to Benefitbay as noted above. You will also have to cancel your current plan so you do not have to pay for two plans.

Don't Forget

Medical Open Enrollment is from November 5th – November 15th.  


Once you log onto the benefitbay system make sure and set up a counseling session with one of the benefitbay team members to ensure a seamless enrollment.

How to Get Enrollment Support

 Once you log onto the Benefitbay site, you will see the Help button to the right and towards the top of the screen. You can click on this to schedule an enrollment call with a benefitbay counselor.

Benefitbay Enrollment Support

As part of Burlington CSD’s ICHRA coverage, employees have access to benefitbay's dedicated enrollment support team to help navigate plan options and make confident decisions. To ensure timely and personalized support for all, please keep the following in mind.

No Passive (Automatic) Renewals

All employees must log into the benefitbay platform to select a plan. Plans from the previous/current year WILL NOT automatically renew.

Your current ICHRA insurance company will send you a letter about your renewal. The communication will tell you that you don’t have to do anything to renew your plan. Since your plan is part of an ICHRA, you MUST log into the Benefitbay platform to select a plan or you WON’T have coverage effective January 1, 2026.


If you enroll in a plan with a different insurance carrier than you are currently enrolled with you MUST terminate the current plan in the Benefitbay system or you will be billed for two insurance plans.

Come Prepared

Employees should log into benefitbay before the enrollment call, review their profile information, and review available plans. It is also helpful if employees bring a list of their doctors, providers, and medications to the call. This helps benefitbay focus the call on meaningful questions and plan decisions. 

One Call Per Employee

Each employee should schedule just one enrollment call (benefitbay has had employees schedule multiple meetings as placeholders). The benefitbay team is ready to walk through questions and provide guidance during this session. If additional support or research is required, their team will gladly schedule a follow-up call. 

No Plan Changes After Selection

Once a plan has been selected and approved/finalized in the benefitbay system by the employee, no changes can be made.
